WoW Druid Restoration
Druids investing their talent points into the Restoration tree are often called Tree Druids. While a few points are shuffled into the lower tiers of the Balance tree, most points are spent within Restoration to grab the Talents Tree of Life and Wild Growth. The last one, being the new 51 point talent, fills a gap in the Tree Druid's arsenal: a group and aoe-heal.
Just like his balance and Feral Combat colleagues the Tree Druid has an aura that buffs their raid or group. this one increases the healing taken by anyone affected by it by 6%. At the same time the Tree of Life form brings some special bonuses to the Druid himself, like reduced mana cost and increased healing depending on is spirit. The downside is that the Tree Druid is only able to cast healing spells in Tree of Life form, completely negating his offensive potential. One of the greatests strengths of a Tree Druid are his heal over time spells, and four of his seven available spells do have a heal over time effect.
The new Druid spell, Wild Growth, is such a heal over time spell. While this one closes the aoe-heal gap, the new level 80 spell, Nourish, closes another gap: the lack of a fast and efficient heal. Nourish's heal effect is even increased if the target is affected by any heal over time spells, which should be the case most of the time.
In order to lessen the burden of playing a healing Druid several restrictions were removed. First of all your movement speed is no longer reduced while in Tree of Life form. Additionally every healing spell is now castable in Tree of Life form, while several spells could not be cast before.
