WoW Druid Professions
There were lots of changes for Druids when it comes to professions as Blizzard has tried to even out the profession bonuses with Wrath of the Lich King, as players tended to reroll to the most effective profession, like for example to leatherworking for the very effective drums, which were a massive bonus to the group of the leatherworker. To prevent this from happening again the profession perks were evened out with only minimal differences between them.
Up to three unique epic gems can be crafted and equipped by Jewelcrafters. These gems are stronger than their normal blue counterparts, and allow the Druid to select just the right bonus to his stats.
While Druids rarely took up the blacksmithing profession they are able to add sockets to their gloves and bracers. These sockets can be gemmed to the Druid's desire offering lots of flexibility. As an enchanter the Druid is able to enchant his rings which gives a similar stat boost as the socketed bonus gems from blacksmithing. A leatherworker, which is a common profession for a Druid, is able to add some some fur lining to his bracers with a similar effect to the other mentioned perks.
Tailoring and engineering are not a good choice for a Druid though. While tailors are able to add a special embroidery to their cloaks it is most of the time inferior to the ordinary cloak enchants. Engineering enchants are simple gimmicks, and while they might be useful from time to time they are unreliable at best and useless far too often.
Mixology is the new ability that alchemists gain, which increases their flask and elixir duration and improves the effect gained from these.
