WoW Druid Glyphs

The new profession inscription has been introduced with patch 3.0, before the Wrath of the Lich King expansion was released. A scribe is able to craft special glyphs that modify a player's spells and abilities, increasing their damage or modifying the way a spell works. A total of 6 glyph slots are available at level 80, divided into major and minor glyphs. While minor glyphs provide only small changes to the spells and abilities, major glyphs can truly amplify the power of certain spells. A scribe creates a glyph from parchment and ink. Ink is created by milling herbs and parchment is bought. Depending on the herb level you get different types of ink, with most high end glyphs requiring northrend herbs for the ink.

The different talent specializations lead to great differences in the choice of glyphs for the Druid. The minor glyphs have no big effect on the Druid's playstyle, so you can maybe remove the reagent requirement for the battle rezz or reduce the mana cost for Gift of the Wild. These are useful for any type of Druid.

A Moonkin gets glyphs for his offensive spells. The Starfire and Moonfire glyphs offer a great synergy and are the first choice. A Tree Druid wants to improve his healing spells with his glyphs, increasing the effect of Lifebloom or changing Swiftmend to no longer consume a HoT effect. Cat and bear Druids on the other hand will select glyphs enhancing their attacks in animal form or increasing their survivability.
